Are you interested in art and are painting and drawing your hobby’s?
Then this course is for you!
In the weekly classes artist Lieselot Versteeg helps you find what you want to try, learn and improve on. She shows you various techniques, and through assignements teaches you how to work with different materials. You develop your own style and discover how to build a solid creative process.
We will also look at contemporary art and art history, thereby making connections with your own work and developing your talent and identity as an artist/designer.
Besides the various assignments there is time to incorporate working on your own art, and suggestions and requests from the group. As a result of the personal guidance and attention you will at the end of the course have a portfolio to be proud of.
Lieselot Versteeg is a visual artist and writer. She is currently enrolled in the masters program at the Sandberg Instituut and recently finished the RMa Artistic Research at the University of Amsterdam. She is interested in the stories that are made when bodies and materials transform. Teaching and facilitating creative processes of children are an important part of her practice. As a freelancer she teaches classes and workshops in a number of primary schools in Amsterdam.
