Rini Brakkee and Lieselot Versteeg
Do you like to make big wonderful paintings? Or to draw small comic strips? Do you like to build a spaceship out of cardboard? Or a papier maché castle? Do you want to learn how to draw a horse that looks very real? It is all possible at Atelier Greetings from Marc. So you will develop your skills in various media, and also use your imagination and creativity.
Each lesson starts with an exercise that is meant to teach you something about drawing and painting, about old and new art, or to give you an idea for a new work of art. For example, we might make a poster of ourselves as a superhero, or put chance to work like the surrealists did, or make a mask. In the exercises we will discover chalk, pencil, acrylic oil and watercolor paint, felt pen, collage, charcoal, stamp making (depending a little on the abilities of the group) and much more. When you are done with the exercise, you can start working on your own project, and we will of course help you with that. Twice a year we organize an exhibition with your artworks!
Rini Brakkee is the owner of Groeten van Marc, she has a lot of experience in giving creative lessons to children. The most important thing is fun and self-confidence, then learning comes naturally. She is curious about every child and his/her ambitions.
Lieselot Versteeg works as a visual artist and writer, she is interested in the stories that unfold when bodies and materials transform. Teaching and facilitating creative processes of kids is an important part of her practice. She develops and teaches workshops and classes in various primary schools in Amsterdam.
