Do you like to make big paintings? Or draw tiny comics? Would you like to build a rocket out of cardboard, or a castle from paper maché? Do you wish to learn to draw a horse that looks realistic? It is all possible at Atelier Groeten van Marc.
Every class starts with an exercise meant to teach you a new technique or give you an idea for your own artwork (that’s called inspiration). For example we draw ourselves as a superhero, or play a surrealist game. In these exercises we will explore crayons, pencil, felt-tip pen, collage, charcoal, stamps, acrylic paint, and many more techniques and materials.
When you are finished with the exercise you can work on your own artwork, and of course the teacher will help you with that. At the end of each class we jointly look at the works to learn from each other. Twice a year we have an exhibition of your art!
Teacher Rini Brakkee has a lot of experience with teaching creative classes for children. The most important thing is to have fun and confidence, then learning will follow naturally. She is curious to get to know each child and their ambitions.
Do you wish for your children to get great art education, but you can’t afford it? The Jongeren Cultuur Fonds might be able to support you.
